Interview with David Wateska, American Legion Veteran
David Wateska was a chaplain during the Korean War and War on Terrorism. An interview with David gave amazing information about serving as chaplain in the war. David was born in Chicago with three other siblings, an older sister, an older brother, and a younger brother. David went to a Christian School and then transferred to a public high school. David joined the military at the age of 19 and signed up for the lowest class which was the National Guard. He later became a chaplain and designed a program for soldiers to build up hope. He was originally scared of war but he overcame the fear by battling with the support by his side. He knows that even if he made mistakes in his life, there is always forgiveness and hope.
